  • You are passionate about your role as a caregiver / healthcare assistant. You demonstrate empathy and compassion for your clients and can support the client’s family members, who may be struggling to cope with their loved one’s decline. You have excellent communication skills with both the client and their family. You exhibit a positive demeanour and a kind tone of voice. You are considerate and kind when working with your client and are mindful of the fact that you are working in a senior’s, or their family’s, private home. You are reliable and arrive for work on time whilst fulfilling all duties in a timely manner. You respect your client and their family members privacy and dignity at all times. You are committed to professional growth and continuing education, including attending all trainings that may be required from time to time.

  • You have 1+ year of professional caregiving experience.

  • You have completed QQI Level 5 in Care Skills / Care of the Elderly (minimum) or equivalent healthcare qualifications / training.

    If you have not already received your full QQI Level 5 award, you are willing to continue your studies to complete the full QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or equivalent.
